Second Lieutenant Richard Borlase Jenkins - 9th Sqdn., Royal Flying Corps and 2nd Bn., South Wales Borderers; his bronze memorial death plaque together with 1914-15 Star and War & Victory Medals, housed in a glazed copper frame by Vickery of Regent Street, together with Aviator's Certificate, Log book,(torn-out pages leave no entries) photograph of him in uniform and an oil on canvas portrait based on this photo and accompanied by a large quantity of photocopied research material relating to him, his service career and the type of aircraft he flew. Jenkins was born in Caswell Bay, near Swansea in 1896 and enlisted in the South Wales Borderers, but after graduating from Military Flying School at Farnborough, he was posted to the Royal Flying Corps as an aviator in October 1915. On January 17th 1916, whilst returning from a hand-bombing raid on a German depot he came under fire from an enemy aircraft. Despite being wounded to the left side of his head and the extensive damage to his unarmed Farman biplane, he made safe landing back at his base, but died the following day from his wounds, aged 19 years.

A set of Japanese Tsuka (handle) fittings for a pair of swords in presentation box, cast in bronze with floral relief in cloisonné consisting of two fuchi and two kashira. The larger fuchi for a katana measures 42 x 23mm with a hole for the blade at 28 x 8mm. The smaller fuchi for a wakizashi measures 38 x 22mm with hole for blade at 26 x 7mm. The kashira both measure 36 x 18mm
A very rare WILLIAM'S Patent Universal plane 8" x 2" with bronze body and 8 section beech infill held by brass band surround with Pat June 23rd '64. Williams was a Philadelphia plane maker (see P-TAMPIA vol 2 p75 for similar with iron body) very few have ever been found and it is surprising that one has been found in England G+
