Lot 353
A fine 19th century French Japanese-style (Japonaise) lacquered brass repeating carriage clock by A. Dumas. With faux bamboo column supports and three komei type bronze overlay panels, the sides depict figures at various pursuits and the dial mask is ornamented with a swan. With silvered dial under a copper slip and having black enamel Roman numeral markers. Housing an 8 day movement with platform escapement striking half hourly on a gong and with repeating mechanism. Makers stamp A. D. underneath the case, 19.5cm high including the handle extended, 10.75cm wide, 10cm deep. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Running. Sold with the original key its number matching that on the backplate. Slight lacquer wear only.

With antico verde marble top, gilt bronze mounts and a portrait medallion of a Roman Goddess to the drawer front. With strung inlay, quarter veneered and cross banded, 37cm wide, 74cm high, 35cm deep. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Only one foot mount retained. Marble broken into three sections. Good colour and veneer in good order.

A 17th / 18th century small Indian bronze figure of a Deity seated before an arbour holding a child and having ruby inset eyes, 13.5cm. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. No breaks or repairs. There are two small drill holes at the base of the arbour and a loop on the reverse at the top centre, these may be evidence that some components are lacking.
