An early 20th century Chinese cast bronze temple gong. the front decorated with three raised dragons amongst fine wires of foliate design and birds and fish, with a central boss encircled by further wire scrolls and conforming decoration to the side, suspended from a contemporary double link chain, complete with a wooden beater, 17½in. (44.5cm.) diameter, 4¼in. (11cm.) deep. (2).
A fine Louis XVI style gilt bronze mounted Table à Écrire after a design by Jean-Henri Riesener. last quarter of the 19th century, the rectangular top with canted corners, a three quarter pierced gallery and geometric inlay of amaranth and triple stringing, the top sliding to the rear and with the single drawer opened revealing a fitted interior with ratchet-raised reading stand flanked by two hinged, lidded compartments, standing on four square tapered and inlaid legs terminating in collared leaf decorated cups and brass castors, the table 32in. (81.5 cm.) x 20¾in. (52.75cm.) closed, 38½in. (97.5cm.) deep when fully opened, 29½in. (75cm.) high.
