The Great Waterloo medal (By Authority of The Waterloo Committee), bronze, framed, with uniface reproduction of original medal.

After Behnes, a filled metal (bronze ?) portrait bust of Queen Victoria as a young child. Height 54 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The bust is not a cast bronze piece. It is however a metal outer shell with a plaster filled interior. The metal is some form of copper alloy. The piece certainly looks like bronze and is in extremely good condition.

Lot 638

A late 19th century bronze model of a Chinese junk, brown patination. Length 28 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: This lot is in good condition with no damage, no repairs and no restoration. Weight 1479 grams.

Lot 641

A late 19th/early 20th century Indian bronze seated Buddha, raised on a carved wooden base. Height 33 cm, width 18 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This Buddha does have some damage. One finger is missing to the left hand and three fingers and the thumb to the right hand. Other than this there is no damage, repairs or restoration. We are not sure why the back of the piece is open but it appears to be part of the original manufacture of the piece. If you look carefully at the base there is a small perforation to the centre right and another small one at the right hand side of the base. There is some discolouration to the bronze. It is only the damage to the fingers that is really of any significance.

CONDITION REPORT: Other than being very dusty and dirty this piece is in very good condition. We can see no evidence of any damage, repairs or restoration and there are no significant scratches or scuffs to the piece.

Lot 669

A small pair of partially gilt bronze candlesticks, stamped "F.R. Barbedienne", each in the form of a cherub. Height 14.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: There does not appear to be any damage to either of these candlesticks. It looks as if each candlestick has been gilded and much of the gilding is missing with only very faint traces visible. There are scratches to the underside edge of each piece but no significant scratches or dents to any of the visible upper portion.
