This bust was, by repute, the first piece modelled by Mary Spencer Watson at the age of fourteen. Exhibited Mansard Gallery (heal's) 1937 Sculpture in Britain Between the Wars, Fine Art Society 1986, curated by Peyton Skipwith, page 145, catalogue no.103. Provenance Fine Art Society. A PAIR OF JAPANESE MEIJI PERIOD CELADON GROUND MOULDED PORCELAIN VASES / LAMPS, the bodys of the vased with moulded and painted decoration depicting birds sat amongst trees, later converted to lamps using French style bronze / metal mountings, with handles, overal 66cm high, the vase approx. 41.5cm high x 15cm wide.
PAIR OF ARTS AND CRAFTS PERIOD "ART UNION OF LONDON" MARKED FRENCH PATINATED BRONZE studies of children at play to include; a young archer on rockwork base with arrows at his feet and a young girl skipping, both on ebonised wooden socle bases. Both marked Art Union of London and having indistinct signature with dates 1906 and 1910. Each 17cm high approx plus bases. (B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Both appearing in good condition, minor surface wear in places and rather grubby. The socle bases having some wear.

BARBEDIENNE, FONDEUR, A PAIR BRONZE BUSTS of a semi-naked Grecian man with robe marked Clesinger Rome 1860, together with semi-nude figure of a woman with beaded necklace and robes, possibly Helen of Troy and having circular foundry mark, standing on a socle base and square stepped plinth, standing on cast paw feet. Height: 31 and 29cm approx. (2)(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Appearing in very good condition, good patination with no obvious damage noted.
