Richter (J.P); 'The Mond Collection, an Appreciation', 2vols, FIRST EDITION, pub., by John Murray, London, 1910, on ivory vellum boards, with gilt lettering and decoration, together with an indenture on vellum between 'The Royal Institution of Great Britain' and Ludwig Mond, dated 8th June 1896, a cased bronze commemorative plaque of 'Dr Ludwig Mond FRS' and two other smaller bronze plaques, one depicting Robert Mond, the other Edith Helena Mond (a lot) This two-volume set was the first to provide details of the 42 paintings that art collector and chemist Dr. Ludwig Mond (1839-1909) bequeathed to the National Gallery in London.

A W.W.2 period German "DER DEUTSCHEN MUTTER" Cross, with blue enamel and gold coloured metal, the reverse inscribed "16 Dezember 1938", slight damage to enamel, 1¾in (4.5cm) high. Note: the award was available in bronze, silver and gold - the highest award given for raising eight or more children.

A 19th century French and gilt bronze chenet, the ends each as pedestal urns surmounted with pair of musical cherubs and raised on rams mask and hoof feet, the centre adorned with ribbon, quiver of arrows and flaming torch, supporting a garland of flowers, w.132cm, h.46.5cm Condition Report / Extra Information Complete.All stands well.No apparent losses or restoration.Some minor tarnishing.Otherwise no apparent faults.

A Chinese polished bronze censor, 18th/19th Century (Xuande 1426-1435 six-character mark)Of lobed bombe form, the upper rim flanked by twin loop handles, raised on three zoomorphic supports, 9.5cm high, 17cm diameter. CONDITION REPORT: Significant patination to the exterior of the censer. Dark marks to the exterior of the censer. Extensive discolouration and lifting to the interior.
A very rare and early Etruscan bronze fibula, c. 6th century BC, perhaps Tarquinia. An example of this brooch of the elongated S or serpentine form is in the Metropolitan Museum of Art New York, in whose catalogue the type is fully described. Parts of the terminals from our example lost in antiquity.
