A Chinese bronze hanging lantern, first half 20th century, the spherical openwork body forming swirling clouds around inner candle chamber, character mark design to hinged door with spinning latch, topped by flattened bell form with cloud finials around its circumference, with later bronze cap and chain, 10½in. (27cm.) main lantern height. (2)
A rare Chinese cased kingfisher feather diorama, Qing Dynasty, depicting a carved, stained and painted ivory nobleman, wife and child riding a horse and an ox, with three attendants, crossing a bridge over a river with buildings and trees in a mountainous landscape beyond, against a black velvet ground with silver stitched river, within a hardwood case with keyed bronze hanger, 25 x 19¼in. (63.5 x 49cm.) overall, 1½in. (3.8cm.) deep.* Condition: Very original, with no repairs or restoration. Some minor losses to feathers and some cockling to paper beneath the feathers in places. Heavier losses to white feathers on horse. Some flaking to painted decoration on ivory nobleman's robes and the parcel hanging from the horse's head. Colours remain vibrant. Case in good condition.
A Chinese bronze incense burner in the form of a standing goose, probably early 20th century, the goose with long outstretched neck with beak agape as if in mid-call, the removable wings revealing a vacant cavity, 9¾in. (24.8cm.) high.* Condition: In good condition with good, dark brown patina. No faults.
An Ancient Abydos Ware pottery pouring jug, ancient Near East, Holy Land, Early Bronze Age II, ca. 3000 to 2700 BCE, a simple and elegant vessel with long neck, curved handle and slightly flared rim, flat base, this style of vessel is known as "Abydos Ware", so named by early archaeologists who first found them in mortuary contexts in Egypt - but they were made in the Holy Land, 15in. (38.2cm.) high.* Condition: Large chip to upper rim. Some light encrustation to surface throughout, fair/good condition.
An Art Nouveau style copper and enamel bowl, Continental, the short, straight sided bowl in bronze patinated copper with sinuous green enamelled decoration terminating in spade form leaves, 4 1/8in. (10.5cm.) diameter; together with a similar short cylindrical vase, 2 3/8in. (6cm.) high. (2)
A French patinated bronze model of the Venus de Milo, late 19th century, cast after the antique by the Barbedienne Foundry, mid-brown patination, inscribed `F.BARBEDIENNE FONDEUR` to the base with 'Reduction Mechanique' stamp to reverse, 18½in. (47cm.) high.* Condition: Good colour and patination. Tiny casting flaw hole to right hand lower edge of robe. No other faults noted.
A pair of bronze and marble urns after the antique, late 19th century, the brown patinated campana form urns with twin handles and fruiting vine and lizard decoration, on stiff leaf bordered pedestals, raised on fluted white marble columns with canted square bases and bronze beaded borders, 12½in. (31.75cm.) high. (2)* Condition: Bronze urns in good condition with no damage. Some verdigris to interiors. One handle a little loose. One large and one small chip to circular edge on one marble plinth. A few other small chips to lower corners of plinths.
A good pair of Louis XVI gilt and patinated bronze oil lamps, c.1785, attributed to Pierre-Philippe Thomine, after a model by Simon-Louis Boizot, in the form of antique oil lamps, the half gilt gadrooned bodies surmounted by seated figures of L'Etude and La Philosophie, on a spreading circular foot with square gilt base, 13¾in. (35cm.) high, 14¼in. (36.25cm.) long, converted to electricity, lack gilt flames from top of spout. (2) * A pair of almost identical lamps form part of The J. P. Getty Museum, California's collection.
James Osborne (British, 1940-1992), bronze figure of a racing greyhound, the Waterloo Cup winner 'Ballyregan Bob', the muscular dog modelled running, mounted on slate plinth atop a stepped black marble base, signed 'JAMES OSBORNE', 11in. (28cm.) high, 13¾in. (35cm.) long.* Condition: In very good condition with dark brown patina. No faults.
A pewter tobacco jar and cover, height 11.5cm, a pewter goblet, monogrammed GPW, height 10cm, a cast iron coffee grinder by Kenrick, a bronze nude, height 9cm, length 26.5cm, an oak footed comport on a bobbin turned stem, height 25.4cm and a hanging leaf dish. Condition report: Oak comport has no condition issues. Pewter tobacco jar has no condition issues. Coffee grinder has no condition issues. Bronze nude has no condition issues. Top part of wings broken and missing on the hanging leaf dish.
A Chinese blue and white porcelain two handled vase, modelled on a bronze shape with a bulbous body supporting a double ribbed neck and trumpet mouth and on a stem like foot, the body decorated overall with bands of floral and foliated motifs with the neck double ringed and rim of the mouth and foot with scrolling tendrils, on a carved wood stand with openwork sides, height 21.5cm, width 14cm. Condition report: No damage. Age possibly early 20th century.
