A Benin bronze head of an Oba, with lattice coiffure with a circular aperture to the top, with raised scarifications to the forehead, with a high coral necklace and skirted base, early 20th century, 31cm high. It has been suggested that this head was made for the returning Oba circa 1910/15. Provenance Monika Wengraf, London.
