Ingenieur Gohin. Empire period. France. 19th century.Barometer - thermometer with three mercury columns.Measurements in degrees Celsius and Fahrenheit. Mounted on a wooden coloumn with mahogany veneer and ebony on the profile. With chased and gilded bronze decoration. The barometer is signed: "par l'ingenieur Gohin opticien Brebeté/Rue Neuve St Eustache nº 24 á Paris". The lower recipient for the mercury is made in cut glass. 113 x 20 x 7 cm.

Some of the lead may be slightly misshapen, but this is being ultra critical. A good example.

General surface rubbing and wear and tear. Slight misshaping to the reins, but free from any major damages, free from any losses. One arm has a visible join mark and there is some rubbing in parts to the raised sections of the horses and to the figures, but overall condition is good.
