(Petits manques et usure de la dorure). Chine, dynastie Qing, période Qianlong (1736-1795). Haut. 8,5 cm - Long. 19,5 cm Le lot sera accompagné d’une expertise dressée le 15 novembre 1956 par Messieurs Boulin et Kervorkian au profit du père de notre collectionneur. Ce document décrit nos pots à fleurs comme "une paire de petites jardinières en bronze ciselé et doré, rehaussé de motifs en émail et pierres de couleurs. Ces objets sont de Chine, époque XVIIIe, travail Thibétain [sic]". Å’uvres en rapport : Nos pots à fleurs s’inspirent, pour leur forme, de modèles créés sous le règne de Kangxi (voir notamment une jardinière présentée par Christie’s, Londres, le 10 mai 2011, sous le numéro 143 et une autre illustrée dans Chen Lihua, Collections of the Palace Museum : Enamel Wares, Pékin : 2008, page 43, numéro 25). Toutefois, ils s’en singularisent à deux titres. Dans un premier temps, par leurs matériaux constitutifs - un cuivre finement ciselé et doré délicatement rehaussé d’émaux translucides et de verre coloré à l’imitation des pierres précieuses - que l’on retrouve dans une paire de vases d’applique, datés de Qianlong, présentés par Christie’s, New York, les 15 et 16 septembre 2011, sous le numéro 1172. Dans un second temps, par leur goût européen qui rappelle le style inédit, résultant de la fusion des traditions chinoise et européenne, mis au point pour les premiers empereurs de la dynastie Qing dans les ateliers qu’ils ont installés dans la Cité interdite.
