A WWI presentation pocket knife, by Sutherland and Rhoden, Sheffield, WM grips engraved “Capt W Evans MC, 2nd Battn Middlesex Regt, 15.6.18” on one side and initials “AMT” on the other, with label inscribed “Given to Capt W Evans MC by the officer who’s life he saved June 15th 1918 at Paschendale - after being wounded himself. This action won Capt Evans a bar to his MC”, together with his bronze cap badge, 4 large and 6 small buttons and a “Guinness” keychain with bottle opener/penknife, in Adbulla tin for 100 cigarettes, (tin worn). “Mein Kampf” by Adolf Hitler, being the official NSDAP edition by “Zentralverlag der NSDAP, Munchen, 1938”, the flyleaf inscribed in ink “Kleinhans”, in its presentation SS oak box, the lid carved with oak leaves, swastika, star and SS runes in the centre; together with a Mother’s Cross in bronze and an award document for the Mother’s Cross to Johanna Kleinhans, dated 18th May 1941, 2 postcards addressed to Fraulein Hanni Kleinhans and family of Fritz Kleinhans, a wedding photograph with military guard of honour, an identity photograph cut from a Soldbuch, an Arbeitsbuch to Ludmilla Furst (nee Rath), 3 letters to Ludmilla Furst in Feldpost envelopes, with translations, describing incidents on active service, one stating that “All night the tanks were shooting and flames everywhere. I alone had to shoot 33 outlaws”, etc, 2 postcards in a similar Feldpost envelope, and 2 allied propaganda leaflets entitled “Luftpost”, dated 8th and 29th July 1941. Average GC. An interesting lot.
An impressive Third Reich non portable award, in the form of a gold/ bronze eagle with outstretched wings mounted on a turned stone column, with superimposed brass shield embossed with Luftwaffe pilots’ badge and “Standort- Segel-Wettfahrten”, and impressed “I. Preis J.G. 51”, height 12”. GC

A small silver retractable toothpick; the end inset with a mauve glass stone and another similar smaller. A gilt metal shell cameo brooch, a silver gilt long service award - 15 years Great Western Railway named and dated c.1945 and a bronze cross medallion.
