A mid-19th century gilt bronze mantel clock, the case surmounted with water-girl in full dress, over a circular white enamel dial (badly damaged), with twin winding holes for a French brass eight day cylinder movement, having outside countwheel and striking on a bell, the case with further C-scroll, acanthus leaf, shell and flower head cast decoration, h.49cmCondition report: Dial badly damaged. Second water jug? to right hand side of top is missing. Loss to tip of existing water jug. Bell incomplete. Movement with some signs of metal fatigue. Case otherwise with good and original patina, some handling wear. Original gilding. Woman probably probably had something running through her hands. Grubby.

A pair of 19th century ebony and tortoiseshell boulle work inlaid side cabinets, each having a black marble top, gilt bronze mounts, the panelled doors with cut brass red and coloured tortoiseshell inlays, opening to reveal shelved interior, w.92.5cm, d.37cm, h.134cm.Marble tops both with several minor rim chips.Both appear completely unrestored.Small break to lion tail on one side mount, but present.Some losses to cut brass stringing on sides and areas of front base of both.Cut brass stringing is heavily tarnished in places.Gilt bronze mounts with tarnishing spots, mostly to exposed areas.Boulle work to panel doors approx. 97% + complete.Missing one lower gilt bronze corner mount to cabinet door.One gilt bronze lockplate missing.No keys.Both grubby and completely unpolished.

A 19th century ebony, brass inlaid and gilt bronze mounted bureau plat by Edwards & Roberts, stamped to single long frieze drawer, the whole of serpentine outline, having gilt tooled leather inset writing surface within a surround of cut brass inlays, with matching frieze, the whole with female mask gilt bronze chutes and acanthus leaf sabots, on French style square tapering and cabriole supports (for restoration and sold with a quantity of loose brass inlays), w.114cm, d.60.5cm, h.77cm.Table is sturdy.Several losses to the inlay (much of the lost inlay is inside the drawer).There are further issues with the writing surface.We would recommend viewing in person where possible prior to bidding.
