A pair of bronze ewers/lamps, 19th Century The vase surmounted by spiralling turned necks, flanked by rams mask mounts, bodies cast in shallow relief with frolicking naked putti, each with a further row of four putti below, the putti lifting up drapery to reveal the indented section raised on foliate cast socles above rouge bases, complete with matching bronze shade holding brackets, 65cm (sold electrically untested). A Chinese bronze and cloisonné zoomorphic figure of a long-tailed bird, Late Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) The bird modelled in standing position with tail raised, it's applied cloisonné enamel wings, detailed with scrolling ruyi and traditional scroll designs, with open aperture at the top, possibly constructed as a censer, 16cm high, 32cm long.
A possibly Luristan bronze pole section or terminal The stylised abstract horned ox modelled with elongated slender body and legs forming the handle of a pole, with good overall patination, 14cm high. NB: Luristan is a mountain area in Western Iran bordered by Iraq, the body of metal work produced in the first of the first millennium B.C. range of idiosyncratic forms with highly concept models of human and animal representation.
