Pair: BWM, Victory (88290 Pte A E Frid, MGC), GEF, in remains of original box and envelope, with a bronze and enamelled sweetheart brooch for MGC and medals transmittal slip addressed to his mother. Pte Albert Edward Frid, 6th Battn Machine Gun Corps (Infantry), killed in action 22nd March 1918 aged 25, and is commemorated at Arras Memorial, bay 10. War medal (un-named), Special Constabulary Faithful Service medal, Geo V issue with The Great War 1914-18 clasp (Charles Clark) EF, 11 enamelled badges, many Football Association steward from 1947 to 1953; 3 sports HM silver medals, 1 named to C. Clark; and a wristwatch AF.

“British Military and Naval Victories”: 12 attractive bronze medallions from this series by James Mudie, struck in 1820. The medallions comprise: Geo III dedication; Defence of Acre 1799; English Army Arrives in the Peninsula 1808; English Army on the Tagus 1810-11; Battle of San Sebastian 1813; Surrender of Pamplona 1813; Peace in Europe 1814; England Gives Peace to the World; Visit of the Allied Sovereigns to England 1814; Battle of Waterloo 1815; Charge of the British at Waterloo; Constitution given to the Ionian Islands 1817. Each diam 41mm. Average GVF to EF. Note: The original series, struck in Birmingham, comprised 40 medallions which could be purchased by subscription as individual pieces or as complete sets. The bronze medallions were priced at ½ Guinea each.
