Mêne 1876`, height approx 94cm. Note: Number 3 in Mêne`s catalogue, the present model first appeared in wax at the 1876 Salon and in bronze the following year. This group compares with Mêne`s other major horse and rider groups, such as Valet de Chasse Louis XV and Groupe Chiens en Défaut.
