Finlay, 'English Decorated Bronze Mortars' (2010), p. 77, pl. 117. The author notes the legend, although incomplete, appears to include the word 'FELICITAS' for fertility or happiness.

Circular enamel dial with a brocot suspension, black Arabic numerals and decorated with floral garlands behind convex glass, the rear also with a glazed domed door. All housed in a white marble and gilt metal mounted case surmounted by a two-handled urn and flanked by columns with pineapple finials, raised on brass toupie feet.
