The reverse intaglio with a kneeling woman reading 'Am I Not a Woman and a Sister' fitted into gilt bronze mounts, mid 19th century, contained within a wood snuff box.The legend ‘Am I not a woman...’ was adapted after 1825 by US abolitionists, this suggests the date of the piece is around 1830-50. 3.5cm highNo damages or faults.
