An award-winning 1/24 scale model of the ocean racing yacht, Corsaro II, constructed in wood by Alistair Faulkner, in full sail, with a plank effect deck and natural hull, 82cm long. Note: This model won a bronze medal at the National Model Engineer Exhibition, Earls Court, London, in 1985. The 'Corsaro II’ was designed by Stephens & Sparkman, and built in 1960 at the Costaguta yard in Genoa. She became a training yacht for the Italian Military Marine Navy, and took first place at the Honolulu-Kanal Regatta in 1961, and in the Torbay-Rotterdam race of 1962
