A fine gilt bronze French Empire lyre clock, early 19th century, the lyre crested with classical male bust, flanked to each side with a stylised swan neck, above a circular ornate pierced dial with raised silk suspension movement with count wheel striking on a steel bell, supported by two griffins on rectangular plinth applied with trophies on bun feet, 17.5” (45cms) x 7.5” (19cms). A serpentine fronted black marble and malachite inlaid mantel clock, late 19th century, unsigned, the moulded top surmounted with a bronze group modelled as a classical woman playing a lute, seated on a stool with hoof legs, above a circular marble dial with gilt Roman numerals and an eight day movement with outside count wheel, striking on a steel bell, raised on a conforming plinth, 20.5” (52cms) h x 17.5” (45cms). A very attractive pair of gilt bronze table centres, Empire, early 19th century, each modelled as a crouching winged cherub supporting a leaf cast and pierced bowl with a flared neck on a cylindrical plinth overlaid with floral swags, anthemia, and rosettes on a conforming base with three scroll legs, by Matthew Boulton c. 1800. A large Contemporary unique reheated cameo glass vase designed by Jonathan Harris of shouldered ovoid form with collar neck and flat rim titled Silver Dragon and cased in a bronze, mottled turquoise and opal over a deep amethyst ground, cut and polished in the Oriental taste with Chinese Dragons amongst clouds, engraved signature and date for 2003, height 24 cm.
