He was elected ARHA 1897 and RHA in 1901. He was also appointed Professor Of Sculpture Royal Hibernian Academy of Arts of Painters, Sculptors, Architects and Engravers in 1901. He lived in Dublin but from 1903 also had a residence and studio in Paris.
