Paar feuervergoldete Kaminböcke in figürlich-plastischer GestaltungHöhe: 36 cm.Länge: 32 cm.Tiefe: 18 cm. Frankreich, Mitte 18. Jahrhundert.Die beiden Gegenstücke in feinem Bronzeguss und vergoldet. Jeweils ein zur Kaminöffnung hin sich bogig anhebender Sockel mit großer Frontkartusche auf Voluten und einem niedrigeren hinteren Sockel mit quadratischer Basis trägt die Figur einer weiblichen Sphinx. Der Körper eines Löwen, mit auf die vorderen Voluten gelegten Pranken, ist mit einem Manteltuch bekleidet, die Kopfbüste zeigt je ein schönes Frauenbildnis mit Diadem und herabschwingenden Schleifen bzw. in leicht variierender Gestaltung.
