A French bronze desk weight, circa 1920, with luggage, a sack, a barrel and an anchor, monogrammed HR, on a Siena marble base, width 13.5cm.From the 59-metre super yacht Gaviota IV owned by the Chilean millionaire Arturo López-Willshaw.One of the tips of the anchor is off with spots of verdigris across the bronze, and various scratches and chips on the marble base.

BOLITHO & SONS PENZANCE', 8 x 12cm.This collection of extremely rare Cornish tin ingots and mining artefacts are from the collection of Neil Mercer.   Mercer has collaborated with the photographer and designer Peter Russell to produce ‘The Spirit Of Dartmoor Tin’, a large format, lavishly illustrated, limited edition artists publication due late 2022 / early 2023.  Most of these items are featured in, and formed part of the research for the publication which contributes to, and records, the tin working history of Cornwall and Dartmoor and is the culmination of fourteen years of research and practical tin working.    The Spirit Of Dartmoor Tin: a one-time limited edition of 300 copies, sequentially numbered and signed by the authors, within a slipcase, with the copy mediaeval seal of the Devon Stannary in tin metal smelted during the project from historic and modern tin and inset into the case.  Foreword by the landscape archaeologist Dr Tom Greeves; ' ... this is a book of magic, passion and beauty, captured essentially through stunning visual images. Not electrified.A Girandole is a branched ornamental chandelier or lamp consisting of several lights, often resembling a small chandelier. Girandoles came into use around the second half of the 17th century and were commonly made and used in pairs. A girandole has always been a luxurious lighting fixture, and in the great period of French home decoration in the 18th century, the famous French "ciseleurs" designed some extremely beautiful examples. A wide variety of metals have been used for this purpose, bronze, wood, silver ......

JOSÉ PINEDA GUERRA (Alicante, 1837 - Barcelona, 1907)."Corbeta Magdalena".Watercolour on paper.Signed in the lower left corner.Frame with dirt. Moisture stains.Some faults in the painting.Size: 34 x 50 cm; 44 x 59 cm (frame).José Pineda was a shipwright and watercolourist, specialised in the painting of ships, son of a sailor from Alicante. He sailed from an early age, and in fact his wife also came from a family connected with shipping, as she was the daughter of a family of shipowners. Around 1871 he settled in Barcelona, where he specialised in painting, as portraits, the most famous vessels of the time, both sailing ships and steamships. Most of his paintings, which are of great documentary importance, are of Catalan sailing ships, although he also painted some foreign-flagged vessels. They were generally intended for the decoration of the offices of Barcelona shipping companies. Little is known of his exhibitions, although there is documentation of an exhibition of his work in the San Sebastián building in Barcelona in 1877. He painted almost always in watercolour, developing a language of precise drawing and descriptive brushstrokes, with boats minutely portrayed in all their details, especially the rigging, set on a deep blue sea (the quality of his blues is outstanding), with long waves, adorned with seagulls flying at water level. His style was continued by the Marseille painter Pellegrin. Pineda also practised naval modelling, a discipline in which he was awarded a diploma and bronze medal at the Universal Exhibition in Barcelona in 1888 for his frigate "Hijas de Pineda", which had taken him eighteen years to build. Pineda is currently represented in the Maritime Museum and Nautical School of Barcelona, the Planas Collection in the Balearic Islands and in various private collections.

Petition dish, possibly German; 16th century.Gilt and embossed bronze.It has faults and flaws.Measurements: 37 cm. diameter.Plate in gilt bronze with embossed decoration on its seat based on grapes and vine leaves placed in an ordered composition, around which a legend develops in the form of a border. The petition plate was a common object in the development of the liturgy, since during a moment of the mass, the faithful are shown this object with the intention of offering the possibility of making a donation.

Table clock, Empire period. France, early 19th century.Gilt bronze.Some lack in the figure.The pendulum and the key are missing. It needs to be overhauled (it does not work).Measurements: 40 x 27 x 10 cm.Desk clock from the Empire period, with the case and the sculptural decoration in gilded bronze. It consists of a base decorated with reliefs depicting Eros and a lion. On the clock case sits a round representation of the Greek goddess of Victory, Nike, whose graceful anatomy follows neoclassical precepts. Floral compositions and plant growths complete the decoration. The dial of the clock has Roman numerals in black on a white background, with Breguet-style hands, and is bordered on the outside by a bronze floral wreath.

George III Bracket Clock, signed Simpson Wigton. England, second half of the 19th century.Mahogany case with bronze appliques.Silver dial with gilt bronze spandrels.With key.In running condition, but in need of refinishing. Some old xylophagus.Measures: 44 x 27 x 17 cm.English table clock, bracket type, with the dial signed "Simpson Wigton". It has a front with a simple architectural composition, raised on a base with a cut-out skirt and finished off with a slope of curved angles. The front of the clock has classical foliate compositions, with vegetal latticework on the sides. The dial is numbered in Roman numerals (hours) and Arabic numerals (minutes). Above the dial, with a silver-plated disc, is a second dial with a chiselled eagle and the engraved inscription "Tempus fugit". The handle finish gives the piece great functionality and makes it easy to carry.Bracket clocks of English origin date back to the 1960s, when the pendulum was applied to the clock, replacing the previous "foliot" regulator or balance wheel. This change made it necessary to provide the mechanism with a case to protect it from shocks that could alter its movement. This is how transportable watches came into being. These were short case pieces, which housed inside them a mechanism held between two thick plates and containing, as the driving force for each train, a combination of a hub and a snail. These clocks were originally intended to be placed on a bracket, hence their English name.
