ANGEL PREENINGA rectangular silver brooch by Carolyn Mullholland RHA, cast by Steensons Jewellery, Belfast, hallmarks for London 1997, from a limited edition of 3, length 4.5 x 6cmNorthern Irish artist, Carolyn Mulholland RHA is well-known for the numerous major sculptural commissions which she has completed for institutions across Ireland and Northern Ireland. Her works feature regularly in Adam’s Important Irish Art Auctions and in November 2014, a later bronze panel by the same name, “Angel Preening”, dated 2005, appeared in the catalogue of “The Ib Jorgensen Collection” auction at Adam's.

London Underground enamel PLATFORM ROUNDEL from Oxford Circus Station on the Bakerloo, Central and Victoria Lines. This is the smaller-size sign, from the track-side, measuring 24" (61cm) across by 19.5" (50cm) high, c1980s, in three parts plus bronze frame. In very good, ex-use condition, just a couple of small chips and a few light scratches. [3 parts + frame]

London Transport coach stop enamel G-PLATE 'Restricted Coach Stop'. A 1930s/40s type sign consisting of two painted plates inside a bronze frame, matching the contemporary bus stop flags. From one of 2 pairs of central London stops (Piccadilly Circus & Oxford St) where the authorities restricted boarding of coaches in order to avoid congestion. This dated back to the first days of Green Line coaches and the restrictions were lifted in 1964/65. This is the only example of this plate we have ever seen. In very good, ex-use condition, comes with original fixings. [1]
