A VERY FINE FRENCH BRONZE AND GRIOTTE UNI RED MARBLE MANTEL CLOCK, the marble case with brass and gilt-bronze mounts, of breakfront outline, surmounted with large classical bronze group modelled as a woman holding tools, and elbow resting on two handled urn and scroll by her feet, the works by Deniere Paris c. 1870, struck on the clock plate with number 751, also with the Pons Medaille d'Or 1823, also signed Juvenaux, lacking bell and pendulum, the circular red marble dial with Roman numerals, some lacking, flanked to either side with a band depicting classical figures in relief, on ornate anthemion paw feet, and a centre double leaf scroll and shell medallion, 21" (53cm) high, 19" (48cm) wide. A FINE BALUSTER SHAPED COMPOSITION SANDSTONE SUNDIAL, the half reeded vase shaped centre, supporting a circular moulded top, on squarestem base, 50" (127cm) high; together with a circular engraved bronze dial, crafted by Meristic for Latitude, 51 degrees 30N, the outer band inscribed "Thou By The Dial's Shady Stealth, Mayst Know Time's The Thievish Progress to Eternity" and with Roman numerals to the dial, crested with the Prince of Wales plume, and with a solid gnomon, on a moulded circular slate base, 13" (33cm) overall. A FINE 19TH CENTURY FRENCH BRONZE AND YELLOW MARBLE MANTEL CLOCK, by Duval of Paris, the works by Pons, with outside count wheel striking on a steel bell, the circular silvered dial signed Duval of Paris, and with Roman numerals, the case surmounted with a bronze model of Britannia holding a gilt-metal trident, on a rectangular yellow marble plinth applied with ornate brass mounts and a tongue and dart cast base moulding with bun feet, 21.25" (54cm) high, 14.75in (38cm) wide.
