Early 20th Century Continental School, Lampt, etc. Miniatures: A large half length "Portrait of an Elegant Lady in a Garden Setting," approx. 11cms x 9cms (4 1/4" x 3 1/2"), in fine heavy brass and bronze Adams style frame; also an oval "Half length Portrait of Young Lady with long pleat in hair, and low cut dress," oval, 7.5cms (3") high, in black frame. A very fine pair of Louis XVI style bronze Bouillotte Lamps, with three husk and leaf cast candle branches supporting fluted nozzles and raised on paw feet, the bases cast with guilloche and leaves, with cream shades. (2)* A similar pair sold at The Kelly Collection, 24 Fitzwilliam Square, Dublin, 21st June 2011, realised € 17,000.
An early 20th Century heavy bronze Japanese Usubata Ikebana Vase, the individual large lift out circular top with sunken centre, united with a bulbous shaped body with scroll handles on a tripod base, with native script and image of Mount Fuji, on the side, the base with square character mark, approx. 27cms (10 3/4") high. A bronze model of St George fighting the dragon, on horseback, dressed in armour and holding a spear, 19 cm highFigure is not fully attached to the horse. Some scuffs and scratches consistent with age and general usage. No apparent dents or restoration. No obvious breakage, some flaking to glaze. Some small chips to the edges of the base.
A 19th Century Chinese bronze censer, the bowl of squat globular form with twin handles, on three raised feet with six character mark to the underside, 14.5 cm wide x 9 cm highSolid structure with no obvious breakage or restoration. Multiple scuffs and scratches consistent with age and general usage. Would benefit from a clean. Tarnishing to edges and handles. Uneven rims. Underside mark clear.
A miscellaneous lot, including a bronze ashtray in the form of a boy holding an ostrich egg, a roundlet corkscrew, a Coleman's Wincarnis corkscrew, a selection of silver plate, a cased pocket thermometer, two Ronson lighters in original boxes, and other itemsthere are no marks present on the roundlet corkscrew.
A 20th Century desk stand, in the form of a silver plated mother doe and her faun beside an ink pot, all placed upon a rectangular marble plinth, 21 cm long, together with an Art Deco style bronze sculpture of a dancing woman, 24 cm high (2)Sculpture has some chips and scuffs consistent with age. Areas of rubbing to the knee and hands. Good structural condition. Writing stand marble has some very small chips to the edges. Pot and deer are not fully secure and therefore 'rub marks' are present on the marble. Would benefit from a clean. Some light scratches and residue on the figures, lid is not fully attached.
