A bronze statuette of Arthur Ransome, by Jan Neumann, circa 1985, cast bronze figure, with light brown patina, signed in initials to base, 27 x 9 cm (10.25 x 3.5 ins) A possibly unique sculpture of the author Arthur Ransome in typical standing pose with hands in pockets and wearing plus fours, by the Russian sculptor Jan Neumann (born 1946). Neumann works in St. Petersburg and creates both large-scale public sculptures and memorials, as well as small-scale bronzes. (1)
