There is a small hole where this would have been fixed. Both handles are loose. A French gilt-bronze and alabaster mantel clock, 19th century, modelled as a young man holding a broom and a bunch of flowers in front of floral background, on stepped gilt-bronze mounted base, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals, the twin train eight day movement stamped with pastille for Japy Freres, stamped A.C & B PARIS 1514, striking a bell, with pendulum and winder, 35cm high, 40cm wide Please note that Roseberys do not guarantee working order or time keeping of any automatic, mechanical, quartz or other timepiece.Case: Wear to include: tarnishing and scratches to mounts. The young man is slightly loose and broom handle is bent and has hole to reverse of head. One of the birds to the base is loose but still attached, the other is missing base under the bird and is therefore sitting approx. 1cm above alabaster and the foot below is loose. One of the hanging chains to the front of the base is missing. There is engrained dirt to alabaster base and chips to edges. Dial: Dirt throughout and minor rubbing to numerals. Movement: Movement is not secured to the case and can therefore be removed without needing to unscrew. Needs re-attaching. Some minor tarnishing to backplate, movement, pendulum and bell. Clock is overwound.

There is a hairline crack to dial between 5 and 10. The dial sits slightly loose in the case, rotates slightly if moved. Minor scratches to glass. Minor tarnishing to bell and backplate. The backplate and the reverse of the case both stamped 1236. The bell strikes with a dull ring. There is no pendulum or winder. Bronzestatuette des Harpokrates. Römisch, 1. / 2. Jh. n.Chr. H 13,4cm. Bronze. Der Gott sitzt und hat den Zeigefinger der rechten Hand zum Mund geführt. Am rechten Ohr befindet sich die Jugendlocke. Auf dem Kopf trägt er eine mehrteilige Komposit-Krone, die sog. Hemhem-Krone, über dem Kopftuch mit Stirn-Uraeus. Als Zeichen seiner Jugendlichkeit wird der Sohn der Isis nackt dargestellt. Mit Gutachten des Ägyptologen Dr. Matthias Seidel! Fragment an der rechten Seite der Krone fehlt, gereinigt. Provenienz: Ex Sammlung K.R., Rheinland-Pfalz, erworben 1996 bei Roswitha Eberwein.

Seltenes Weingefäß. Zeit der Streitenden Reiche oder frühe Han-Dynastie, ca. 4. - 2. Jh. v. Chr. H 29,5cm, B 32,5cm, T 10cm. Hellgrauer Ton mit grauem Überzug, Nachahmung von bian hu Typ in Bronze. Flacher, ovaler Körper mit abgefassten Rändern, auf einem konischen, rechteckigen Fuß. Kurzer zylindrischer Hals mit nach außen gezogenem Rand, mit originalem Deckel. An den Seiten jeweils eine kleine taotie Maske. Mit TL-Gutachten R. Kotalla April 2022! Ein Bruch am Rand repariert, einige Kratzer, Henkel und Ringe an den Seiten und am Deckel fehlen, sonst in sehr guter Erhaltung. Provenienz: Aus dem Nachlass der Münchner Sammlung Dr. H. F., erworben 1997. Ex Gorny & Mosch 287, München 2022, Los 599. Das Gefäß wurde wohl als Grabbeigabe produziert. Auch Bronzegefäße von dem Typ wurden häufig bei den Ausgrabungen der königlichen Gräber gefunden.

Vier griechische Bronzeschalen. Alle aus getriebener Bronze. Archaische Omphalosschale mit gegenständigen Lotusblättern. 6. Jh. v. Chr. ø 17,7cm, H 3,9m. Zwei Omphalosschalen klassischer Zeit. 5. Jh. v. Chr. ø 15,5 und 17,6cm, H 3,7 und 4cm. Tiefe Schale mit innen abgesetztem Rand. ca. 4. Jh. v. Chr. ø 6,9cm, H 16,5cm. Außen unter dem Rand ein graviertes Flechtband. 4 Stück! Alle mit dunkelgrüner Patina, bei der kleineren Omphalosschale Riss seitlich des Omphalos, sonst alle intakt. Provenienz: Aus der Sammlung H. I., Westfalen, seit vor 1986.

Montefortino-Helm. 2. / 1. Jh. v. Chr. L ca. 25cm (mit Nackenschirm) H 17cm. Bronzehelm mit separat gefertigten, heute fehlenden Wangenklappen, halbkugelförmiger Kalotte und hohlem, kugeligem Knauf. Der etwas verdickte Rand ist im vorderen Bereich mit schmalen, diagonalen Rippen verziert, im hinteren Bereich zu einem diagonal abfallendem Nackenschirm ausgezogen, der mit einem gepunzten Wellenband geschmückt ist. Kleinere Durchbrüche in der Kalotte. Im Inneren Meeresinkrustationen. Keine Ergänzungen. Provenienz: Aus Münchner Sammlung A.D. 1990er Jahre. Der Helm vom sog. Montefortino-Typus ist der typische Legionärshelm der Republik und von den punischen Kriegen bis zu den Bürgerkriegen im Einsatz. Der Typus ist von keltischen Vorläufern inspiriert, die aber aus Eisen gefertigt wurden, während die römischen Exemplare wohl stets aus Bronze waren. Zum Typus vgl. Lampe mit Deckel und elegantem, vegetabilen Volutengriff. Dreibeiniger Kandelaber mit markant profiliertem Schaft und Blattschürzen zwischen Löwenprankenfüßen. Sammlung Lanzenspitzen aus Bronze. Luristan, 12. - 11. Jh. v. Chr. L 45,5cm (2 Stück) und 43,5cm. Vollguss. Alle mit lanzettförmigem Blatt mit Mittelrippe, die in einen viereckigen Schaft übergeht. Der Schaft, der in einer V-förmigen Verbreiterung endet, geht in eine vierkantige Angel über. Bei zwei Lanzenspitzen ist das Ende der Angel umgebogen, bei einer nicht. Ein Exemplar stark korrodiert. 3 Stück! Reste von Sinter, Korrosionsspuren, grüne Patina, winzige Fragmente des Blattrandes fehlen. Provenienz: Ex Familiensammlung N., Norddeutschland, 1900 - 1970. Bronzenes Schwert mit Fächergriff. Luristan, 2. - 1. Jt. v. Chr. L 57cm. Vollguss. Der Griff ist an der Schneide angegossen, den Ansatz bildet ein rechteckiges Stück, das sich an den seitlichen Kanten entlang zieht. Die Kontur zwischen Schneide und Ansatzstück ist gebogen. Den Griffabschluss bilden zwei fächerförmige Elemente, die innen ausgehöhlt sind. Die Schneide weist einen Mittelgrat auf. Grüne Patina, minimale Korrosionsspuren, Teile der Griffummantelung fehlen.
