A PAIR OF CHINESE CLOISONNÉ GILT BRONZE AND CARVED JADE COVERED BOXES. Each of tapering octagonal form with conforming domed lids. Enameled with auspicious Buddhist motifs and surmounted with jade finials carved with dragonettes and bats. The panels of each base set with carved jade plaques of a seated Buddha with arched mandorla. Height 11 inches (28 cm), diameter 11.5 inches (29 cm).
A LARGE AND IMPRESSIVE CHINESE CLOISONNÉ GILT BRONZE PEACH FORM CENSER. In three sections. The peach form vessel with figural stem handle and sculpted scrolled vines and leaves raised on three figural peach feet. Finely enameled with interlocking lotus blossoms, leaves and bats on Imperial yellow ground surmounted with a reticulated scrolled leaf form cover with two peach terminals. The whole raised on a conforming cloisonné and gilt bronze base with three leaf form legs. Accompanied by hardwood plinth with carved peach and leaf decoration (not illustrated). Height 19.75 inches (50 cm). Total height 22 inches (56 cm).

Raised on a four-legged painted enamel period warming stand with spreading leaf form bronze feet. Total height including handle 13 inches (33 cm).

Decorated with two young beauties in a floral garden setting and with floral rosettes and scrolled foliage on an Imperial yellow ground. The base with blue enameled archaic style reign mark. Diameter 9.75 inches (24.5 cm).
A LARGE CHINESE GILT BRONZE AND CLOISONNÉ ENAMELED WEDDING CHEST. The lidded rectangular chest decorated all over with scrolling chrysanthemum blossoms and vines within borders of auspicious motifs. The lid lifting to reveal a silk-lined interior in Imperial yellow. Length 20 inches (51 cm), height 9.5 inches (24 cm).
A CHINESE BRONZE "EIGHT IMMORTALS" CENSER. Finely sculpted and cast with eight immortal figures against a mountainous background with mythical beast handles below a reticulated carved hardwood cover with hardstone finial. The base with embossed archaic style seal mark. Length 11 inches (28 cm).
AN INDIAN BRONZE JAIN SHRINE, PROBABLY 11TH/12TH CENTURY. Finely cast in openwork with the figure of Tirthankara seated in dhyanasana on a throne supported by lions below a conical parasol flanked by elephants and numerous seated and standing Jinas in architectural niches. Inlaid with copper and silver and inscription on verso. Height 6.7 inches (17 cm).
A VERY FINE JAPANESE MIXED METAL BRONZE HANDLED VASE, MEIJI PERIOD. Finely carved and inlaid with silver, gold and copper. With a scene of a lohan with lotus branch and blossoms on obverse in good relief. The reverse with a sculpted and inlaid scene of a bird on flowering prunus. The base, handles and neck decorated with archaistic designs. Inscription on base. Height 14.25 inches (36 cm).

A good Chinese gilt bronze Sakyamuni, 14th/16th century, crisply cast, seated cross-legged with billowing scarf on a lotus throne, her head with serene expression under a tall crown, the hands in dhyana nudra supporting an incense burner, 15.5cm Sakyamuni is symbolic of tranquility and can take many forms. The base plate is missing and reveals a possibly original sutra at the head. This bronze would probably respond well to judicious cleaning, revealing that it was entirely gilt.
Bronze and mixed metal kidney-shaped Box, c.1900, the lid engraved and applied with a praying mantis by a spray of flowers, signed Dianhon Kyyoto Imura Sei, 11.5cm long dented on the base, scratches and marks, top is slightly mishaped, small repair to back and front of the base of the box, possible losses.
