A 19th century patinated bronze ormolu and marble figural mantel clock surmounted with classical figures reading books over a foliate cast marble base, the gilt dial set with enamelled Roman numerals enclosing a French two train movement, 59cm high x 58cmn wide x 20cm deep, cracks to marble on four front corners, wear to gilding, general age related wear, not working in saleroom but a very impressive clock
Matchbox, Lesney, Hot Wheels, Corgi Rockets - A Matchbox Series no.41 Collectors Case with a boxed Matchbox Superfast Track 200 Loop Set. The Collectors Case contains 4 trays of over 50 diecast vehicles predominately by Matchbox, including #22 Vauxhall Cresta (bronze, Silver plastic wheels); #32 Jaguar E Type ((grey plastic tyres with wire wheels) #32 Jaguar XK140 (red with grey plastic wheels), and similar. Models all have wear and signs of play but generally range between Fair - Very Good overall, presented within a Good overall case with some taping to inside and general wear. The Superfast track set appears playworn and is unchecked for completeness. (2)
A stunning 19th Century French antique red veined marble and ormolu bronze mounted mantle mantel table clock by Samuel Marti. The impressive clock having a gilded finial dop with additional finials and mounts throughout the body. Glazed door to front with white enamel dial, bold arabic numeral chapter ring and pierced gilt hands. Movement stamped to verso. Measures: 38cm x 20cm x 14cm.
After Jean de Boulogne - known as Giambologna (1529 - 1608) - A pair of late 19th Century antique bronze model statues in the forms of Mercury and Fortuna. Both portrayed as nude with Fortuna having small drape across her loins and Mercury having a winged petasus helmet and winged ankles. Both stood upon open mouthed cherub masks. Raised on cylindrical ebony and marble bases with central bronze bands decorated in relief depicting classical figures and creatures. Tallest measures 78cm. Condition; sadly there are signs of repairs and some pieces missing. However this does not detract from these stunning bronze pair figures.
