Leaping Jaguar - Casimir Brau - a scarce original Leaping Jaguar car radiator mascot by Casimir Brau, c1925. The nickel-plated bronze mascot in fine Art Deco style, mounted on a circular base signed ' C Brau '. French in origin, and originally retailed by Hermes of Paris. Later version with joined tail. Mounted on a later wooden plinth presentation base. Nose to tail 22cm. NB: It was thought that it was this mascot that originally inspired F. Jaguar - a rare c1960s Jaguar issued presentation tray, originally issued to celebrate launch of the E Type Jaguar. The tray of walnut veneered construction, with an E Type Jaguar print set under glass. Original bronze mascot Leaper handles to either side. Rare piece of Jaguar memorabilia - only issued by Jaguar directors to customers of interest / importance. The vendor has never found another in existence for the E Type. Measures approx 48cm long. Provenance: This was given to the vendor by Bill Rankin, Jaguars publicity agent. Only made in single figures, never released. (24)

Jaguar Mascot - an original vintage Jaguar Leaper car mascot being a replica of the original first mascot as owned by Frederick Gordon Crosby, and then passed to his son. The exact number of castings taken is unknown, although they were very limited. Bronze construction on a wooden base. Nose to tail 19cm. (193)
