WW1 Casualty 1/4th Bn Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry Medal Group.Awarded to “2341 CPL P.B. BANNARD OXF & BUCKS L I”. Comprising: 1914/15 Star “PTE OXF & BUCKS LI”, British War Medal, Victory Medal “CPL”, Bronze Memorial Plaque “PERCIVAL BRYAN BANNARD”. The medals and memorial plaque are contained an a leather and velvet fitted case. Corporal Bannard was a native of Deddington in Oxfordshire and landed in France on the 29th March 1915. He was Killed in Action during the Battle of Passchendale on the 7th August 1917.

C.”, Tailor’s Clasp, British War Medal, Victory Medal, Bronze Momorial Plaque “RICHARD DAVIES”. Private Richard Davies landed in France on the 22nd August 1914 and is confirmed as being awarded the clasp. He was Killed in Action on the 5th December 1915.

19TH CENTURY INDIAN CAST BRONZE LOTA/ABLUTIONS VESSEL, decorated in relief with a band of fantastic animals and scrollwork, slightly flared neck on three ball feet. 15cm high approx. (B.P. 21% + VAT) Appearing in fair condition, some discolouring in places. Possible later repair to the feet on the base.
A Franz Bergman gilt bronze dish, relief decorated with Pan seated beside water, three swans at his feet, 15.5 cm x 16 cm, impressed marks verso, together with a gilt bronze figure of a boy seated on a cushion, unmarked, 8 cm high and gilt metal candlestick modelled as a flowering lily, with frog adornment, 10.5 cm high.
A collection of Chinese carved hardwood stands, Qing, 18th/19th century, to include and intricately carved and pierced example with lingzhi funghus, chrysanthemums and rockwork, 11cm wide, a further stand carved and pierced with lingzhi funghus, 10.5cm wide, an open tri stand with ruyi head feet, 16cm diameter, a cinnabar lacquer stepped vase stand, carved with bands of lotus flowers, leiwen (Greek key), and gadroons, 21.5cm wide, 13cm high, three square topped stands and two others, and two Japanese metal stands, one bronze and of octagonal form with simulated bamboo legs, 10.5cm diameterQty: 12Condition report: Cinnabar stand with some small losses to the gallery, one section of the gallery has been broken and glued. Tallest square top stand has a 3cm split to the top. The smallest square stand has small shrinkage cracks to two surface corners. A small section missing from the rim of the lingzhi and flowers stand, but has been missing quite some timw as the patination is uniform with the remainder. Generally no major faults, some good stands.

A Polish brass menorah, decorated with the lions' of Judah supporting a Torah crown, 20.5cm wide, together with further examples in pressed and cast brass and a bronze example minus its base, 35.5cm wideCondition report: The heavy cast menorah is missing its top finial and supporting base. The embossed sheet brass menorah has solder repairs throughout the backplate and is missing a retaining pin to the rear. The remaining two cast menorahs appear to be in good condition with no obvious faults.

A Chinese bronze censer and cover, Ming dynasty, the cover with bronze patinated white metal Dog of Fo finial with inset glass eyes, its paw upon a pieced ball, the cover with bat shaped pierced vents, the compressed body with lug handles cast with stylised lotus and scrolling foliage, with beaded neck above a band of scroll decorated lozenges, supported upon three dragon mask legs with paw feet, interior rim diameter 23.5cm, overall diameter 31.7cm, 33cm highCondition report: The Dog of fo finial has been off in the past and an old solder repair is visible. The cover has a 1cm rim split. One leg has been separated from the censer but it has been a clean break and re-attached. There was originally three Rui heads surrrounding the Dog on the cover, two of these are now missing with only one remaining. The stem securing the ball on the cover has been re-attached. Both handles have been re-attached using bolt threads and nuts. A 9cm soldered patch in the centre of the censer base.

All badges showing some wear and tear commensurate with age.

Verglaste seitliche Pendelsichten und mit Zierblech verkleidete Werkseiten. Spindelwerk mit Hinterpendel an Fadenaufhängung. Stunden- und Dreiviertelstundenschlag auf zwei Glocken. Zu revidieren. 86x33 cm. Schlüsseöl beigegeben.
Chanukkaleuchter Nordafrika/Marokko, datiert 1946. Bronze. Bankartiger Typ. Durchbrochen gearbeitet. Wangen mit je einem Löwen, Rückenlehne mit von 2 Löwen flankiertem Davidstern. Eingravierte Inschrift: "DAVID HAZAN SOUVENIR L.E. 1./9. 1946". Bank mit 8 Ölbehältern, Diener in Rückwand montiert. H 23 cm. - Alters- und Gebrauchsspuren. Rechte Wange leicht verbogen.
*Sitzender Gott mit Löwenkopf Aegypten, Spätzeit, 715–332 v.C. Bronze. Auf einem Thron sitzender, männlicher Gott mit Löwenkopf. Auf seinem Haupt die Hemhem-Krone mit Uräus. Der Gott trägt den Königsschurz mit gravierten Faltenlinien, auf dem Tuch senkrecht, auf dem Mittelstück waagrecht. Seine Arme sind angewinkelt und beide Hände zu Fäusten geballt, der linke senkrecht und der rechte waagrecht. In seiner Rechten hielt er vermutlich ein Zepter. Der Thron ist an den Seiten graviert mit Schuppendekor, die Rückseite zeigt zwei Register. Oben ein Falke mit Sonnenscheibe und unten das Symbol der "Vereinigung der beiden Länder". H ohne Sockel 22,5 cm. Auf Sockel montiert. Vgl. Münzen und Medaillen AG Basel, Auktion 59, 1981, Los 57 Schweizer Privatsammlung seit ca. 1930
Sitzender Buddha Thailand, wohl 15.Jh. Bronze. Auf einem einfachen Sockel in virasana sitzender Buddha, seine Rechte zeigt die bhumisparsa-Mudra, die Linke liegt in dhyana-Mudra über dem Fuss. Die Augen sind gesenkt, der Gesichtsausdruck ruhig und in sich gekehrt. Eingestecktes Flammenornament (ketumala) ergänzt. H 69,5 cm.
