A pair of mid 19th Century ormolu three-branch three-light candelabra, each with central rose and bud finial, the branches clad in acanthus with bronze putto support on a fluted white marble and gilt metal socle and square base, 107cm high/Provenance: Sotheby's Mentmore sale, 1977, Lot 137 Condition Report: Candle branches and rose sprays loose and need attention. Cornucopia and other gilded mounts a little tarnished. Marble bases need similar attention. Both cherubs with holes, probably once for electrification, now reverted to candle branches.

A lock of hair stated to be Napoleon’s, wrapped in paper with ink written details in French, and contained in a small cash box (rusted) with a bronze medallion commemorating the marriage of Napoleon and Marie Louise of Austria, 1st April 1810, 40mm diam, old ink label attached “Lock of Napoleon’s hair. A Third Reich NSFK non portable award, in the form of a lozenge shaped silvered bronze plaque embossed with NSFK symbol, date 1937 and applied “Kustenflug” panel, the reverse with embossed inscription and signature, in its fitted case, the silk lid lining printed in gold “Nationalsozialistisches Fliegerkorps Der Korpsfuhrer”. A German bronzed spelter prize statuette of a near naked athlete holding aloft a laurel wreath, on a rectangular bronze base bearing “CMK” in circle mark and engraved “I. Preis Meistkm 1930, 4685 K, gest. v. W. Schultz, Stattin”, on polished stone plinth, height 11”. GC (the wreath bent and with small crack).
