After Antony Lazari (Italian, 18th Century) gilt bronze medal commemorating Laura Maria Caterina Bassi aged 20, lecturer in experimental philosophy at Bologna, dated 1732, 6.8cm diameter. Laura Bassi (1711-88) was the first woman to be offered an official teaching position at any university in Europe. She held the chair in experimental physics from 1776 to 1778. She was also the second woman ever to receive a university degree, in 1732. The other side of the medal shows Bassi as the Roman goddess Minerva, who was the goddess of wisdom, the arts and professionals.
An early 20th century French mantel clock. The metal worked clock case with a bronze patina finish with painted circular dial having Arabic numeral chapter ring with floral detailing. The case housing a brass Astrain movement within, striking on the bell. Beside a figure of a winged cherub with all raised on a marble base with plaque to the front reading "Amour Printamer, Par Goo Makim". Measures approx. 36cm x 24cm x 15cm.

The 8 day movement clock having an octagonal glazed clock face with Arabic numerals to the chapter ring inscribed Le Roux Quimper, after Demetre Chiparus. Black & green onyx and marble canted body flanked by side pedestals with bronze swans figures. The clock with side garnitures having top concave dish. Clock movement marked Pierre Megnin Seloncourt. Clock measuring approx. 20cm x 42cm x 11cm.

After Constant Ambroise Roux (French, 1865 - 1942) - The Child Achilles - An early 20th century century circa 1920s marble mounted and patinated bronze bust sculpture of young Achilles. Signed Constant Roux to back. Stamped L N J L Paris to underside with number 156 above. Measures altogether approx. 43cm x 19cm x 12cm. A similar example, also with green patination, was sold at Christie's South Kensington, Interiors, 29 June 2011, lot 542.

The figurine modelled with his right hand in Varada mudra, the left hand holding a bowl and resting on his lap, wearing robe, with extended earlobes, curled hair dress terminating in a flower-shaped ushnisha. Measures approx. 25cm x 17cm x 11cm.

Twin dragon handles below with Greek key decorations to rim. The body decorated with in relief dragons guarding the emperor flame. Raised on tripod dragon's head feet. Marked for Ming Dynasty year of Xuande to underside. Measures approx. 25cm tall, 22cm in diameter.
