Centime nearly extremely fine, the others extremely fine or better. (4) Generally referred to simply as ‘Piedforts’, the weights vary considerably compared to the currency issues: the 10-Centimes is 1.5x, the 5-Centimes is 2x, the 2-Centimes is 3x and the Centime is 4x the normal weights.

First two with some light handling marks, otherwise generally about uncirculated to uncirculated. (11)

The 1900 with slight handling marks, lustrous, uncirculated, two 1910 about extremely fine and very fine respectively, both dates scarce, the others mostly lustrous, good extremely fine to mint state. A bronze medal winning model of a 5 inch gauge 0-4-0 American style tender Porter Locomotive No 8, built by the award winning Mr Peter Hissey of Middlesex to the design Marie Estelle by Don Young. The silver soldered copper boiler having fittings including sight glass, and pressure gauge, The chassis with twin outside cylinders, lubrication system and internal Stephenson s valve gear operated from the cab which is constructed in polished oak planked panelling with glazed windows. The model comes complete with whistle, bell operated from cab and large lamp to front with chimney spark arrester and cow catcher to front wooden buffer. Length 53cm. Cab width 21cm. No boiler history available. Awards: This model won a bronze medal at The Model Engineering Exhibition held at Sandown Park in 2000/2001. Class B1/5. Medal retained by the family.
A Bronze award winning 5" gauge model of the Liverpool & Manchester Lion 0-4-2 tender locomotive Titfield Thunderbolt , built by the late Mr Alan Jacobs of Wilmington Kent to the LBSC design with copper haystack type boiler clad in polished oak planking with brass banding and normal fittings including water and pressure gauges, twin Salter s type safety valves, injector, clack and blow - down valves. Chassis fittings include twin inside cylinders with valves controlled through Stephenson s gears, connecting and coupling rods, whistle, brass cab-lamp, oak buffers and beam blocks. Tender with detailed rivet work and fitted hand brake. Finished in green and black livery with polished brass and bright work. Display track and firing iron . Model Length 99cm. Cab width 19cm. Boiler History: Gravesend M.M.E.S. certificate number N800847. Expired 20th of September 2012. Hydraulic pressure 120 psi. Working pressure 80 psi. Steam test expired 2nd of September 2009. Awards: Bronze medal and winner of The New Zealand Cup at the 56th Model Engineer Exhibition Wembley 1987.

King Class 4-6-0 tender locomotive King William III 6007, built by the late Mr Alan Bond, with a copper super-heated boiler , the fine quality cab with two fitted pressure gauges, sight glass with drain cock, regulator, vacuum control, reverse control, lever operated firebox doors, detailed and scaled copper pipework, plank flooring and driver's seat, the chassis detail including twin outside and twin inside cylinders with Walschaert s valve gear, injector, drain cocks, lubricators, whistle, steam brakes and other usual fittings, the six wheel tender with brakes, water cocks, detailed rivet-work, vacuum hose, fitted steps, hand irons, lamp irons and lamps, finished in green livery with polished bright-work, Length185cm. Together with drawings and a framed Chad Valley GWR puzzle of King George V with original box. Boiler History: None available. Model has been run on air but not steamed. Awards: This model won a Bronze Medal Award at The International Model Show and The Model Engineer Exhibition Class B1/28.
