ROBERT CLATWORTHY, R.A. [1928-2015]. Head 1, 2004. Bronze, edition of 9, 2/9. Signed. 25 cm high. Provenance: private collection, UK [acquired directly from the artist]. Literature: 'Robert Clatworthy', Sansom, 2012, p.151, pl. RC157 [this cast illustrated]. [very good condition]. Although Clatworthy is best known for his animal sculptures [Bulls, etc.] he latterly produced some of the greatest abstract Head sculptures ever made - only Fautrier came close.

Linklater, Scotland, collection [probably acquired directly from the artist in 1957]; private collection, UK. Literature: 'Michael Ayrton - Drawings and Sculpture', C P Snow, 1962/66, Cory Adams & Mackay, pl.55 [this cast illustrated]. [NB. Another cast was sold at Sothebys auction, 12 July 2013, lot 131, for a total of over £20,000]. [good condition].
SEAN RICE [1931-97]. Football. Welded bronze, unique. 36 cm high, excluding base. Provenance: artist's family; private collection, UK. This may have been a maquette for a proposed football trophy - Rice was a well known sculptor based in Liverpool. [good condition - in need of a clean - a few green deposits, etc.].
Anglo Saxon - Kings of Northumbria. AETHLELRED 11 [841-50] styca. Moneyer - EADWINE - VERY RARE, not known for Aethelred [only King Eanred]. obv. +EDELRED, 8 pellets in centre. rev. EADV.I.NI, cross in centre. [cf. Spink 865 - £65 in VF for common types - this one unrecorded]. Ex - Dave Greenhalgh collection [with ticket]. Unusual unrecorded coin - appears to be more copper/bronze, rather than the usual Eadwine base silver. EXTREMELY RARE. VF.
HUBERT DALWOOD [1924-76]. Untitled, 1959. aluminium, bronze sprayed at front, unique. Signed underneath base. 54 cm long. Provenance: Tom Hancock collection [an architect who worked closely with Dalwood and acquired it directly from the artist]; Bonhams auction, 11 July 2006, lot 88; private collection, UK. An important unique sculpture from Dalwood's prime period 1959-60 - not included in the catalogue raisonne by Chris Stephens as he was not aware of it's existence at the time, but he is now and it will be included in any future updated publication. [good condition - marble base is loose and chipped in places].
EDUARDO PAOLOZZI, R.A. [1924-2005]. Piscator, 1980-1. Bronze, edition of 6, on marble base. Signed with initials. 15 cm long including base [bronze 11 cm long]. Provenance: private collection, UK - acquired directly from the artist. Maquette for 'Piscator', a large public sculpture in front of Euston train station, London. [good condition]. A great opportunity to buy a Paolozzi bronze sculpture at a very low price.

ËœTWO JAPANESE SHORTSWORDS (TANTO) AND A BRONZE MASK the first with curved single-edged blade with traces of hamon, tang signed 'Masaharu saku', pierced with a single mekugi-ana, small iron tsuba applied with soft metal flowers around the edge, fabric-bound sharkskin-covered grip with matching iron mounts, horse menuki, in its lacquered saya enriched with mother-of-pearl and ivory insects and birds, with its signed kozuko; the second with curved single-edged blade (worn), and carved bone grip; and the third a modern casting the first: 30.0 cm; 11 3/4 in blade (3)
a rare italian halberd, early 17TH century, probably venetian with broad central blade pierced with three slots, fitted at the base with a broad steel collar formed of six vertical hoops each interrupted by a chiselled mask, forward leaning pierced axe-blade fitted with a bronze warrior mask on each face, triangular rear-fluke fitted with a pair of bronze masks and pierced en suite, rectangular socket fitted with a spiked transverse bolt, a pair of slender straps, engraved throughout with flowers and linear ornament (worn), on an early studded wooden haft (extensively wormed) with iron shoe 59.0 cm; 23 1/4 in head A similar halberd is preserved in the Poldi Pezzoli museum, cat. no. 525.

Black velvet clutch bag decorated with metallic gold embroidery probably made in the 1950's. .The gold metallic embroidery is completely intact. Front flap closes with 1 metal snap in the centre. Flap measures 5" Bottom of the bag opens to a depth of 1.5" Closed bag measures W8" H5" and An Art Deco black evening bag with attractive bead and sequin design in shades of gold and bronze. The interior has a silk lining and a small pocket and loop handle with a popper fastening. c1930 - W18cm H15cm
