A pair of late 19th century French gilt bronze figural chenet, cast as a seated drummer boy and peasant girl, each raised on shaped pedestal plinths, within floral C and S scroll chased surrounds to shaped plinth bases, h.41cm, w.39cm. Some oxidisation around the bases of both.The gilding is rubbed, particularly to extremities.Possibly missing something from the girls’ hand.Very grubby.

Overall condition is OK.Some minor scratches to top of head, otherwise no apparent faults.Not fixed to plinth.Plinth is intact.Bronze dimensions h.13cm, w.7.5cm, d.7.5cm.
