Ce cadre reprend avec quelques variantes le modèle du bénitier dit de l’Adoration des Bergers créé par Nicolas DELAUNAY et conservé au Louvres.(anciennes Collection David-Weill). Delaunay travailla sous l’influence de Claude I Balin, on reconnait dans le style de notre miroir l’influence des réalisation de ce dernier pour le mobilier d’argent de Versailles.
