Late 19th or early 20th Century dark patinated bronze four glass display cabinet by F. Sage and Co. Ltd, London, the dome top enclosing adjustable glass shelves and parquet floor raised on low square tapering supports, 6ft high x 21ins square approximatelyGood overall condition. Door is not warped. No losses, think all glass is original.The light surface visible through the dome is oak.The floor of the cabinet cannot be easily removed.There is a lock but no key.One shelf bracket has been replaced and may need adjusting again.Oak covered with bronze.Overall in original unrestored condition
An Edo hip mask Benin Kingdom, Nigeria bronze, with a lattice headdress having coral decorations, raised scarifications to the forehead and elliptical eyes with inlaid pupils, with a pierced and scroll decorated collar with thirteen ring attachment, the back with two attachment loops, 19th / 20th century, 15.5cm high. A Palmyra terracotta tessera circa 3rd century AD ticket to a sacred banquet, one side with two busts and crossed palm branches and the other with a bust and Aramaic text, 3cm wide, a clay tablet with two figures above a sun burst, the top pierced for attachment, 3.5cm high, a Sumerian shell cylinder seal, with remains of linear decoration, 1.7cm long, a Mesopotamian stone cylinder seal, four bronze fibulae, Bronze Age, including one finely coiled and ribbed, 6.5cm long, a navicella-type, 4.5cm long, a stylised sea monster type, 3.6cm long, a plain type, 4.8cm long and a bronze annular brooch with incised letters, 1.5cm diameter. (9) Provenance George and Florangel Lambor Collection.
