Two wrought iron driveway gates, Bromsgrove Guild, each with scrolling top, one depicting a pheasant in the centre of the scroll, the other an owl, 102cm x 120cm wide, both 201cm high. Note: The Bromsgrove Guild began in the late 19th century as an Arts & Crafts movement group. They manufactured objects in many media - metal, wood, plaster, bronze, tapestry and glass. The Guild survived until the early 1960s. The Guild's influence was widespread; one of their members was lost en route to the USA sailing on RMS Titanic. Perhaps the Guild's most famous objects - certainly those most seen by the public - are the main gates of Buckingham Palace.
