A good cased 5 shot 54 bore Tranter’s Patent double action percussion revolver, 12” overall, barrel 6” engraved on the top strap “R.S. Garden, 29 Piccadilly, London”, engraved “1166” on underside, Birmingham proved, frame stamped “Tranter Patent” in small oval and engraved “No 17,261T”. Near Very Good Working Order and Condition, the frame and barrel retaining 90% of original mirror blued finish and traces of colour hardening to the cylinder (some little wear to trigger guard and butt cap); in its green beize lined fitted mahogany case with brass escutcheon in the lid and maker’s trade label (worn), containing 54 bore double cavity bronze mould stamped “Tranter’s Patent”, bag shaped copper flask by Hawksley retaining most original lacquer, brass mounted ebony cleaning rod, nipple key with pricker and turnscrew with ebony handles, tins for “Tranters Patent Lubricating Bullets” and “Lubricating Composition”, tin for “Eley’s Superior Anti Corrosive Caps”, pewter oil bottle, and tin containing 5 spare nipples. A fine cased 5 shot 38 bore Adams Model 1851 “Dragoon” self cocking percussion revolver, 13½” overall, barrel 8” engraved on the top strap “Wilkinson & Son, Pall Mall, London”, London proved, the frame engraved with scrolls and “Adams’s Patent No 1449”, the finely chequered walnut butt with steel cap having engraved sprung trap. Very Good Working Order and Condition, the barrel and frame retaining 95% of original mirror blued finish, cylinder with traces of colour hardening, in its original green baize lined fitted mahogany case with circular brass escutcheon and maker’s trade label, containing 38 bore double cavity bronze mould with Adams 1851 Registration mark, bag shaped copper flask by Dixon retaining virtually all original lacquered finish, brass mounted wooden loading rod with interchangeable cleaning jag, nipple key with pricker, turnscrew, pewter oil bottle, turned wooden box containing 2 spare nipples, 38 bore wad punch, 2 other wad punches and 2 associated tools. Very Good Working Order and Condition, retaining most original blued finish (some wear to rammer); in its green baize lined fitted mahogany case with brass lid escutcheon engraved with initials and motto, and reproduction trade label, containing 54 bore double cavity bronze mould bearing Adams 1851 Registration mark, bag shaped copper flask by Dixon retaining most original lacquered finish, brass mounted ebony cleaning rod, nipple key with pricker and turnscrew with ebony handles, pewter oil bottle, turned bone box containing three spare nipples, and two tins for “Joyce Foil Covered Percussion Gun Caps”, the whole in good clean condition. A Pair of 19th Century Sèvres Rose Pompadour Porcelain Lidded Urns with gilt bronze mounts. The domed covers surmounted by ornately cast foliate finials and painted with garlands of flowers in pink borders enriched with gilding. The urns having figural scenes in panels on one side and floral bouquets on the other edged in gilded foliage. The sides mounted with foliated satyr heads; their long out-swept horns forming the handles. Standing on fluted pedestals, 11½ ins (29 cms) in height.
A Fabulous French Règence Style Kingwood Marquetry Longcase Clock with gilt bronze mounts. The extravagant shaped case inlaid with trailing flowers, scrolling foliage and strapwork on diagonall grained kingwood veneers with banded borders. The hood surmounted by a gilt figure of Father Time, the case embellished with chased acanthus scrolls, a sunburst face mask and glazed pendulum display to the bombé trunk and fine lion paw terminals to the outswept base. The ornately cast dial inset with enamelled numeral cartouches, 93 ins (236 cms) in height.
A Fine Louis XV Style Satinwood Bonheur du Jour with Sèvres style plaques and gilt bronze mounts. The piece bordered in diagonally grained kingwood bands outlined with stringing. The back fitted with a dome-topped cabinet flanked by banks of drawers with gilt gallery rails, the cabinet door centred by an oval scenic plaque depicting two cherubs below a plaque of flowers, in turquoise blue borders enriched with gilding. The canted sides embellished with gilt mounts. The serpentine top above a swept apron fitted with porcelain mounted sides drawers and raised on square tapering cabriole legs with scrolling espagnolettes and sabots. 50½ ins (128 cms) high, 54½ ins (138 cms) wide.
A Fine French Louis XV Style GIlt Bronze Mantel Clock. The movement striking a bell and stamped Vincenti et Cie Medaille d'Argent and set in a black patinated globe with gilt Roman numeral hour counters and engraved serpent pointers. The globe surmounted by a pair of gilded lovebirds and festooned in garlands of flowers, raised on a pedestal of swirling clouds with Cupids bow and quiver of arrows to the base. The white marble D-ended base edged on gilt beading and terminating on toupee feet, 19½ ins (50 cms) in height.
A Fine 19th Century Gilt Bronze & Sèvres Porcelain Mantel Clock. The dial and front panel painted with celestial cherubs in turquoise blue borders enriched with gilding, flanked by panels of floral garlands. The elaborate case surmounted by a laural wreath encircling a love trophy, with crested acanthus leaves and cascades of fruit and flowers spilling from reeded stems either side, 18½ ins (47 cms) in height.
A 19th Century Gilt Bronze Clock Garniture Set in the Louis XV Style. The scrolling case festooned in floral garlands and surmounted by the figure of a curly haired cherub reclining against a tree stump observing with a lizard before him, 17 ins (43 cms) high. The seven branch accompanying candelabra having swirling foliate branches on scrolling pedestals mounted: each mounted with a cherub; one holding a pair of lovebirds, the other with a garland of flowers, 25½ ins (65 cms) high.
A Fabulous 19th Century Ormolu & Bronze Figural Candelabrum after Henri Dasson. The rich brown patinated figure of winged cherub holding a gilt wrythen-fluted cornucopia issuing six scrolling branches crested with sprays of acanthus and sprouting paterae above a wreath of roses. The figure mounted on a Griotte Uni rouge marble pedestal festooned in gilded garlands of flowers, 39 ins (99 cms) in height.
