Frederick Leslie Kenett F.I.B.P 1924 -2012: a plaster maquette for a bronze of abstract design, 74cm high. Born in Berlin in 1924, Frederick Leslie Cohen (he later changed his name to Kenett) was forced to leave his country by the National Socialist party, and came to England in 1939 whilst still a boy. He joined the US Intelligence Corps during the war whereby he developed in his interest in photography and later enrolled at the Guildford School of Art to study photography. From the mid 60s onwards, he ceased working as a photographer and concentrated on sculpture.
