A Meissen porcelain gilt metal mounted rectangular snuff box, the porcelain circa 1760, moulded in low relief to the exterior with polychrome enamelled scattered flowers, the interior probably later decorated, the inside of the hinged cover with a portrait of King Augustus III of Poland and Elector of Saxony after Anton Raphael Mengs, the base interior with gilt enriched flowers and foliage, unmarked, dimensions approx 8.5cm x 6.5cm x 4.3cm (restored).
An early/mid-20th Century French carved softwood head and shoulders portrait bust of `Madame Lafon` within a surround of oak leaves and acorns, the stepped base carved in relief with three arches and palm trees, dated `26-12-42` and inscribed `24.387 Stalag VI.F`, the underside further inscribed, width approx 28cm.
