According to the catalog, The portrait of Mrs. Daniel Webster was painted about 1816. Shortly before Daniel Webster married his second wife , in 1829, he gave the portrait to the first wife's sister Rebecca, from whom it passed to Webster's son Daniel Fletcher Webster, and was retained by his wife after his death. The portrait was later in the collection of Frank Bulkeley Smith. This painting comes with the illustrated catalog from the 1920 sale. Sight Size: 26.75 x 22.75 in.
