English School Portrait of a gentleman, said to be George or Francis Foote son of Samuel Foote, the sitter with a raised right hand in a contemplative pose, in original gilt frame, 58cm x 47.5cm Condition: surface dust and dirt. Frame with wear, scuffs, losses and small chips. On the right hand side there is (what appears to be) a seam. Whether this is intentional to extend size of paper or if this is a repair is unclear. Slight time/uv fade
