A French Gilt Brass and Porcelain Mounted Mantel Clock, of architectural form, with scroll enriched swept pedestal finial over a circular dial with black Roman numerals centrally painted with a cupid in flight over an artist's palette, with a portrait plaque below, on scrolling acanthus sheathed legs, the movement by Japy Freres numbered 482 69, striking a bell, {34cm}, raised on an ebonised plinth beneath a glass dome, {circa 1850.}
AN EARLY 19TH CENTURY BLACK TRANSFER PRINTED CREAMWARE JUG commemorating the Peace of Amiens 1801, one side with circular portrait of Lord Nelson within a laurel cartouche and inscribed "Here's Our Old Friend, & Success to the Peacemakers", "Here's a Health to Brave Nelson, Old Englands Boast, 'The Hero of the Nile' let this be our toast", the opposite side depicting a ship of the line with cannon and flag emblems beneath, flanking an oval cartouche enclosing a scene with a woman and two boys with toy sailing boat, and entitled "Peace to all Nations". Height 9".
A LAMBETH DOULTON BROWN SALT GLAZED STONEWARE JUG commemorating the death of General Gordon of Khartoum, with applied relief portrait and inscriptions in cream and brown, including "General Gordon, Hero of Heroes, Khartoum" and "Governor General of the Soudan 1874, Born Jan. 28 1833, Betrayed Jan. 26 1885". Impressed 1880-91 mark. Height 7".
A SWANSEA POTTERY PURPLE TRANSFER PRINTED MUG commemorating the Coronation of Queen Victoria, the waisted body with two portrait heads of the Queen flanking inscription "Victoria Regina" above a crown and inscribed "Born 24th of May 1819, Proclaimed 20th of June 1837, Crowned 28th of June 1838" within a cartouche of British national plants, the interior with wide foliate scroll border and with "C" scroll moulded handle. Height 3". Diameter 3". Discoloured and rim chipped.
