TESS STROFE - a beautifully painted original portrait of The Beatles, entitled 'My Soul' (91.5x122cm), signed by the artist Theresa Strofe (1954-2003). Based on the photograph used for the Rubber Soul album cover, the oil features John, Paul, George and Ringo attired in brown jackets over black turtlenecks. Bought from the Liverpool Academy of Art Exhibtion in St George's Hall 1999. Lot includes a card display advertising the 'Come Together' Beatles Art exhibition where the painting was originally purchased (70x56cm).
