German School (mid 18th century), 'Portrait of Elisabeth Friederike Sophie Von Brandenburg-Bayreuth (1732- 1780)', long bust length, watercolour on ivory, oval, in filigree frame, 4cm x 4cm Elisabeth was the only child of Frederick, Margrave of Brandenburg-Bayreuth and his first wife Princess Fredericka Sophie Wilhelmine of Prussia. Casanova described her as 'the most beautiful princess of Germany'. She married the Duke Karl Eugen of Wurttenberg in Bayreuth in September 1748.

In the case of the latter group, the author observes that "Nothing is known of the identity of this curious pair." ++In really very good condition. One with the odd minor pinhead sized graze and a hairline crack, the third, similar group with restoration to the stump at the back
