BRITISH SCHOOL (19TH CENTURY) PORTRAIT OF A GENTLEMAN HOLDING A SCROLL Oil on canvas, 90 x 70cm (35 1/2 x 27 1/2") Condition Report: There are stretcher bar lines with associated cracking in the pigment evident on all sides and there is a moderate degree of cracking in the pigment prevalent over the surface with what would appear to be the use of bitumen noticeable over the darker areas of the lower half where the pigment has bubbled with associated shrinkage. There are odd small chips and scratches to the surface pigment generally.
BRITISH SCHOOL (19TH CENTURY) PORTRAIT OF A LADY IN A LACE TRIMMED BROWN DRESS; PORTRAIT OF A GENTLEMAN IN A JACKET AND BLUE SCARF Oil on panel board, 32 x 24cm (12 1/2 x 9 1/2") (2) Condition Report: Generally both works possess very light cracking in the pigment over the entire surface area and both have what appear to be stretcher line marks on all sides prior to being laid on to board.
SCOTTISH SCHOOL (19TH CENTURY) PORTRAIT OF A LADY WITH A LACE BONNET Oil on canvas, 76 x 64cm (30 x 25") Condition Report: Fine cracking in the pigment evident mostly over the right half section and in particular the lower right quarter section and generally a few light abrasion marks to the surface most apparent top left quarter section.
BRITISH SCHOOL (19TH CENTURY) PORTRAIT OF A LADY IN A LACE MANTILLA Oil on canvas, 76 x 63.5cm (30 x 25") Condition Report: The painting has been lined and there are areas of cracking mostly evident over the darker areas and retouching work is also apparent again mainly over the darker areas of pigment.

(19)44, 38 x 34cm (15 x 13 1/2") Provenance - Kathleen Morton was the daughter of John F Morton, Manager at Lithgows Shipyard. Her father worked with Spencer at Lithgows. The portrait was drawn at Braeton House, Inverkip, the family home. Condition Report: The are a large number of foxing marks evident over most of the sheet and to a lesser extent the outer peripheries and two pin holes bottom left and right which have been touched by white pigment and a small touch of white pigment on the paper and the corresponding reverse side area of glass located in proximity to the left edge at middle.

Originally from Bedfordshire, Lauren moved to Norwich to study mathematics at UEA in 2014 and is now based in South Norfolk. Although she is currently pursuing a career in accountancy, her real passion is art which she enjoys doing in her spare time.
