Bernard Howell Leach, C.H., C.B.E. (British, 1887-1979):Portrait of Mushanokoji Saneatsu, etching, signed within the plate, numbered 16/25 in pencil to margin, impression size H 11 x W 8.5 cm. Note: Mushanokoji Saneatsu (1885-1976) was the son of Viscount Musanokoji Sanezane. He was a novelist, playwright, artist & philosopher, & co-founder of the Shirakaba literary group. Provenance: Presented as a gift to the present vendor when working at The New Craftsman Gallery, St Ives, by Mary 'Boots' Redgrave, a legendary figure of the Cornwall art scene who founded the gallery alongside Janet Leach, the artist's wife.

Reverse: CIVI/TAS/EBO/RACI, long cross quartering coin, three pellets in each angle within inner pelleted border. North 1168. Reverse legend slightly double struck in places, crease across portrait. The RARE 1981 original Roland Garros tennis promotional poster featuring and personally signed by Bjorn Borg. This is an original 1981 poster from a limited edition of 2000 and NOT a modern reprint. The signature was obtained at the US Open when Borg was staying in the same hotel as the poster's previous owner. By the artist Eduardo Arroyo, the portrait drawn from behind but nevertheless instantly recognisable as the Swedish champion, mounted ready for framing. Measures 89 by 68cm.

Two 19th Century miniatures, one of a gentleman with blue jacket and white cravat and the other of a young lady with high collared dress, a cut out image of a lady beside table inscribed "L Bruce Faringdon Street, London & Somerset Place, Brighton" to base and an Angelica Kauffman style print all housed in ebonised frames together with a copy of Christie's Silhouette & Portrait Miniature sale catalogue 12th May 1993 CONDITION REPORTS The gent only - no visible cracks however there is a raised area on the right hand side of the miniature and appears to have been restored in some way. Otherwise general wear and tear, dirt, etc. Crazing to the frame. Appears to be a scratch underneath the glass under his left lapel as you look at him. See images for more details.

LUCY POET "Young boy in turban" portrait study, head and shoulders, oil on canvas, initialled lower right, dated verso 5th April CONDITION REPORTS Overall condition appears good though ther eis a slight line in the paint in the turban which may or may not be original to the work. Has the appearsnace of being a scratch though when inspected under a magnifying glass is clearly a result of a scrath when the paint was wet. Ther eis a similar effect to the pale blue area t the know of the turban. Dimensions of the canvas 40.5cm x 30cm and the overall frame 54.5cm x 44.5cm
