A gold mounted portrait miniature pendant with a garnet border, late 18th century, the painted miniature of a gentleman in a salmon pink coat, beneath a glazed cover, with a border of foil backed, flat cut garnets, cut down collets to a plain gold back and pendant bale with bead detail, tested as approximately 15ct gold,together with a painted miniature, c.1820,depicting a young lady in evening dress with a diadem and jewels in a chased frame. Signature indistinct, but probably 'Niven'.Both miniatures in shagreen cases (2)

A gilt metal and porcelain mounted eight-day clock set, the clock with urn finials and female bust portrait ovals to the sides and the two matching oval garniture vases decorated figures in landscapes Condition Report: The gilt surrounds to the subject on the vases is badly rubbed the gilt metal is also rubbed in places. The oval portraits on the clock are of very poor quality and again all gilded surrounds are Bradley rubbed, gilding on the clock is rubbed in places.

He didn't want his portrait painted, hence sad expression'

Restored condition, re-lined and cleaned, tear to canvas on right hand side, scuffing to paint surface where it has slipped in the frame

HIH The Dowager Empress Maria Feodovna of Russia and HM The Dowager Queen Alexandra - rare dual signed Presentation portrait photograph of the two Royal sisters in formal pose, holding hands, signed and dated in ink 'Maria 1914 Alexandra', the unframed portrait by W, & D, Downey, London, in original folder with gilt embossed Royal Coat of Arms and By Appointment to cover, 47cm x 31cm. In May 1914 The Dowager Empress travelled to England to visit her sister, The Dowager Queen Alexandra and while she was in London, the First World War broke out forcing her to hurry back home to Russia CONDITION REPORT Outer cover a little dirty and corners tatty. The image and mount are in very good original condition with some minor foxing marks to mount. The signatures and date are very clear and have been protected by the original tissue paper inner leaf
